Come See Us in Denver at the AOBA National Alpaca Show

Limited Edition Felting Kits by Object Mythology

Limited Edition Felting Kits designed by Karen Chien from Object Mythology will be available for sale

We are excited to be participating in this year’s AOBA National Alpaca Show in Denver, Colorado.  Not only will we have our wonderful baby alpaca scarves, shawls, gloves and throws available for purchase – Karen Chien, Object Mythology’s accessories designer will be demonstrating the FeltLOOM®, an incredible needle felting machine which gives the fiber artist the capability to create interesting unusual fabrics and textures using loose fibers and rovings instead of yarn.

The FeltLOOM® is designed to give fiber artists and designers the ability to create products from their animal fleeces without having to use yarn. Easy to use, one can create interesting, unique, textural patterns and fabrics in minutes using a wide array of fibers such as alpaca, cashmere and wool. Founders and inventors Lanette Freitag and Don Bowles will be at the event to answer all questions about the machine. “We are excited to have Karen demonstrate The FeltLOOM® as we know that it will allow her to create an array of unique and interesting products such as scarves, shawls, and more which will be available for purchase at the show”. On Saturday, May 21, 2011 a 48 inch FeltLOOM® will be auctioned at the Prospectors Ball with proceeds going to benefit the AOBA Education Committee.

Karen Chien, designer and founder of Object Mythology says: “I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to demonstrate The FeltLOOM® using the world’s most luxurious fiber. . . Alpaca. This machine gives me the opportunity to oversee and create products and goods in-house allowing me to create fun, interesting products on a whim. The possibilities are endless”.

Object Mythology will also have a booth next to FeltLOOM® showcasing their luxury baby alpaca fashion and home accessories collection.

Be sure to check us out at the AOBA National Show in Denver, Colorado from May 19-22nd!
